hello
I've read in Adobe/AE help that to improve performance, a complex project can be broken into parts, and combined before rendering.
I am about to begin a project where a camera will "fly" from one comp to the next--and each of these nested comps will contain complex graphics as well as video. The comps do not necessarily need to overlap on the timeline. My specific question is this: if the subcomps do not overlap on the timeline, will my computer still have a performance hit simply by those comps being in the same project/timeline? My main reason for not wanting to break the project apart is to ensure a nice fluid camera movement in the transitions--and to avoid messing with separate cameras at the end...
thanks for your tips
