Vector Images and After Effects are killing me. Help?

Alright so what I'm trying to do is take an illustrator file and import it into After Effects. I can import it in alright with all the proper layers. That's easy. The thing is that the lines aren't perfect and I need them to be perfect. This is what I'm talking about: http://i.imgur.com/OWrpLnF.png . The lines are weirdly pixelated. That image is straight imported into AE and I just rendered the frame. The vector image is HUGE because I thought it would be fine when I scaled it down and put it into a 1920x1080 composition but here this is: http://i.imgur.com/0DavUTX.png and you can see that it didn't work. Though here is the vector in the same composition without scaling and the lines actually look good: http://i.imgur.com/38Yn4Cp.png . While writing this though I exported the vector and it is still pixelated exported right out of Illustrator: http://i.imgur.com/oK1pSlU.png . So does anyone know what's going on? It seems like it might be something with Illustrator but i'm lost. Please don't say switch continuous rasterize on, or zoom out or something dumb. I've tried all that because that is all the answers I can find anywhere.
