How to make glitching letters like these:

Hello, recently i've decided to make an intro for my youtube channel and i'd like to something like he first 10 seconds of Knife Party's 'Bonfire'*(link in the end). I am a newcommer to After effects and i'm using after effects CS4. could someone do a tutorial, or tell me how to do those glitching out letters in CS4?
