I have a Eurocom Panther 3 Laptop running Windows 8 64bit
24 gigs of DD3 Ram
2 Nvidia 580m's
4 SSD's
6 Core I7 990x
I'm being plagued by shut downs in After Effects, Premiere, and Encore. It doesn't happen when I'm viewing a project. It seems to only happen when I'm rendering a video file. Doesn't seem to happen on smaller files.
I don't get BSOD, any warnings of any kind - the PC just shuts off. When I reboot it's like in never happened.
Looking in the Event Viewer it seems like a lot is going wrong. For example, the first error comes right before the shut down
1. .Disk... The IO operation at logical block address 3baa77f8 for Disk ) was retried.(I get a ton of these leading up to the crash.)
2. Critical... The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
And after Reboot:
1. Kernel-Processor_Power... The speed of processor X in group X is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced perfomance state for 71 seconds since the last report. I'm not sure where the limitation is happening.
2. Kernel-EventTracing.... The maximimum filesize for "Circular Kernel Context Logger" has been reached. As a result events might be lost.
I've included the latter errors in case they are related. I'm going to start researching these errors, I was just curious if this was happeneing to anyone else.
Thanks so much.
