Max's State sets VS Cinema 4D's Cineware AE cc

Hi all,

I use Max's state sets all the time in AE.

Now that AE cc has the relationship between Cinema 4D via Cineware plugin,

I was wondering if it has any more advantage over Max?

Or is it  just cinema 4D's version of a state set?
