I am having an issue where black lines appear in my footage in the very bright areas whenever I switch from 8bit to 16 or 32.

The footage was shot on a 7D & converted straight to DNxHD 185 10bit mov's.
The files display properly in Avid + PP CS5 and also in After Effects CS5 when in 8bit.
The lines seem to be showing where the whites have clipped in camera.
Has anybody come across this before and have a solution?
I have brought the footage into AE to colour correct in 32bit using Color Finesse.
Am I right in saying that for Colour Finesse to work in 32bit the project has to be set to 32bit or does it work in 32bit independent of the project settings?
