Hi,
I am aware that the following question will probably need to end up on the audition forum, but I wanted to start it here, as I have NO idea where to begin, and this is the forum that has been most helpful to date! (and I am a a firm believer that flattery will get you everywhere!)
As most of you are aware by now (the regulars, that is) I am working on a project that is aimed at young children, and will be aired on TV. I am slowly but surely getting to the point where I feel reasonable comfortable doing an edit in premier, and then compositing, green screening and adding effects in After Effects.
My next great challange is sound. I am about to start with Adobe Audition, but would appreciate some feedback on anyone out there who has worked to produce a project for broadcast before. I have read the BBC Tech Specs as a starting point for broadcast, and it seems to be a scary place!
I think my first basic question is this: Do I do the complete project edit in Premier, sounds added as and where needed and then, using the export features, will I be able to export the project to meet the specific requirements. If I remmeber correctly now, the video, music and sound need to be sent in three seperate formats to be combined by the broadcaster.
Is this the way it works, and are there a few links that can be given for a "Getting started" with Audition. I will be looking to purchase the Classroom in a book, and learn by video - peachpit type books over the next few days.
Thanks to all, and sorry for being so far off topic (this early in the year already!)
Pierre
