Having problems with keylight. Have used it a fair amount in the past with OK results but have always come across grain and noise on the subject.
The background keys out fine as it's normally fairly under lit but we seem to also end up underlighting the subject too (it looks fine on camera and monitor but darker once in AE/ the PC) I'm aware that if we light the subject better the grain will probably be reduced anyway, but the problem still stands currently as we can't reshoot.
I have applied exposure to my subject and the more I add the worse the grain is.
I have attempted other methods that I've seen on sites like creative cow, a question answered by Dave la Ronde where he describes turning the area greyish and using alpha mattes. I've done my best with this method but I must be doing something wrong as it doesn't work for me!
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
