the new detail preserving effect

I have some questions about the upcoming up-scale effect for After-Effects:

The only difference between the algorithm in Photoshop seems to be the “Edge Contrast” option (that Photoshop doesn’t offer). How can those be compared to each other? For example: how much percent of the After-Effects Edge-Contrast equals the Photoshop settings?

And what about handling interlaced footage? Is this possible?

Will there be more information before the release? A Video would be great (not the one you posted on 12^th of September)
