I recently installed OS X Mavericks. I use CS5, and now when I try to make a ram preview at any resolution, full, half, third, etc., AE CS5 is unable to sync sound to picture. I have a constant red warning note that says the playback is not in real time. It hovers around 24 to 25 fps, and there is a second note that says: "Project color working space is on".
I always work in 16 bit project color space and have been doing so for the last 7 years in various versions of AE. I've never seen this warning before, but it must have something to do with the playback sound-sync problem. It now throws this warning up even if I have NO sound files in the comp I am ram previewing.
I am working on a Macbook Pro Retina from December 2012/January 2013. The only thing new to my setup is OS X Mavericks. Everything worked perfectly prior to this install. Has anyone encountered this problem? This has ground my work to a halt until I resolve this, as syncing animation to sound and music is a critical and fundamental aspect to all of my current projects.
I would greatly appreciate any info. Thanks!
