ignored layer orders

I have got CS6, Win 7 professional 64 bit. I use the Adobe Cloud.

I imported a PSD file. 8 bit, with alpha channel. It consist a human silhouettes, chopped into body parts, set up for AE rigging. The issue is, those layers simply ignore the layer orders. They are on the top, front and every layer under basically cover them. I have tried to create simple shapes in AE but even those are ignored and wherever I put them, those front layers are covered.

Any idea, whats happening?
