Hi,
So im having this issue, I try to render my project out and it goes really slow and when I stop it it gives me:
after effects warning: unable to open projects in the background (26 :: 142)
Im working on my windows 8.1 workstation with:
3930k
32GB RAM
680 gtx 4GB
samsung 840 pro SSD
All the files I work with are placed in one folder on my desktop.
Im under tight deadline and there is no excuse why I should not be able to render multiple frames simultaneously on my computer. (I paid for a decent computer and im paying adobe's software)
When I try the exact same project on my macbook pro it goes twice as fast than on my windows workstation. Now the macbook pro is a decent machine but it is not nearly as good as my workstation. So where does that leave me? Same project works with (MP) on my macbook but not on my windows workstation.
Both after effects are up to date. I try different settings on mulitproccessing.
Multi proccesing on my windows machine works on some projects that I've tried, and on some it doesnt.
And "it might be a project specific issue" comment im not sufficed with. Like I said im paying for this and the same project clearly works on other machines. I dont want to pay for a software that might work correctly on some projects and not others. And I'm assuming that is not Adobes goal either, thats just sloppy.
What do I do?
(You will have to excuse me if I sound hostile in any way, ever since I signed up with Creative cloud a couple of month ago Ive spent more time with adobe support than with the actual projects..)
