F11 is destroying my products?

Hello,

I am running Adobe After Effects CS6 on a Windows 8.1 system. I prefer wrking fullscreen with these applications, as it allows me to focus a bit better. The default fullscreen key is F11, which works for most programs. However, in After Effects, is does not work. What's worse is that it puts my current selection in a 3D mode that I cannot reverse. So far, it has destroyed many f my projects and repeatedly forced me to restart.

Does anyone know what this is and how can I fix it?
