Opening Titles Skiiiddddding into shot

Hi

Using After Effects CS5.

I tried Googling this, thinking there would be plenty of tutorials/plugins to do this, but I couldn't find anything that would suit my particular needs.

I am creating an opening title. I have some Headline text that I created in Illustrator. 

I want the text to speed into the shot and SKID to a complete stop. In an exaggerated cartoony (Tex Avery/Warner Brothers Tiny Toons?) mode -- adding skid marks and/or tire smoke burn would be an added plus.

If importing the text from Illustrator is a problem, I could of course create the text directly in After Effects.

Does anyone know of any tutorials or plugins that will help me do this.
