Hi,I'm working with Colorista 3 plugin inside of after effect CC2012 on windows. After effects keep on crashing every 5-10 min' while using the plugin, how can it be solved and keep after effects work without crashing?

creative cloud does not show after effects
I downloaded creative cloud to install the trial of After Effects but could not find After Effects option in it. I uninstalled the creative cloud and re-installed it but nothing has changed.

Rendering to PNG error
A problem cropped up after switching to After Effect CC 2014; grabbing a frame as a PNG file fails with this error message: "AEGP Plugin PNGIO support: PNGIO library error: known incorrect sRGB profile ( 5027 :: 12 )"
So, what the heck is that supposed to mean and how do I fix it?

After Effects, Track camera unable to obtain dynamic link server connection
This has been hit and miss. I am now consistenly getting a dynamic link server connection trying to use Track camera in After Effects.
64GB RAN
Windows 7 proffesional
i7 processor
NVIDIA GEFORCE TITAN
I have enabled all the recommended programs through my firewall. I see the dynamiclink server is running in my task manager, I have closed all other programs, no antivirus, I have restarted my computer, no luck with this.
Also to add additional information:
It seems that when I try to do replace with After Effects composition in Premiere Pro I am getting error: The importer reported a generic error
and also when I first launch After effects I am getting a failure to load a few plugins from CineForm including importer

Need Help: How to make the AE project file not to open automatically upon export from Dependencies Menu?
I have this problem with AE. I have used the dependencies menu to collect the files I only need for that project and upon saving the file, it opens immediately and closing my main AE Project, which I still need to export the other compositions individually. How can I disable the opening of the AEP file automatically after collecting the the dependencies because I still have other compositions to export?

H.264 Gives bigger file size
Hi All,
I have the quick time option available in my after effects. When i try to render it with the quick time H.264 option, it doesn't get rendered in a mp4 instead is saved in .Mov format. Kindly help me render in a smaller file size without loosing quality.

Creating ocean without plugins
Hello there!
I would be more than thankful for any tips on how to create an ocean surface and waves without plugins in AF CS4. Been looking for a tutorial on Youtube for so long that I am almost giving up. Would much appreciate any help!

Trouble with Cineware 4D and object buffer
I'm struggling to add a C4D file with a shadow catcher into an AE scene. I'm sure it was working before I updated recently but maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
I'm running AE 13.2.0.49 and C4D Lite 16.028
I've attached a screen grab from C4D where it renders out fine and one from AE where it doesn't. I've used four layers in a multi-pass; top is ambient occlusion, then object buffer setup enabled to the compositing tag for my text, then an RGBA layer and finally a shadow layer. I have set the work space to sRGB and selected linearize and working in 32bit. I've tried 16bit as well and same problem.
Somehow with this setup I'm losing the solid of my object. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Re: Color issue exporting Photo JPEG
Just discovered this problem myself, this is a big disappointment since I work at a studio doing visual effects and have been trying to defend the capabilities of After Effects as a great compositing tool from hoards of Nuke users who look down their noses at After Effects for years now. After trying everything to solve this issue including scouring the message boards and forums without finding a solution to this, I finally got on a chat session with a tech person at Adobe. After they asked me to run all the tests I had already run to no avail, the Adobe agent's final input was this:
"Well then may be it cannot be done in after effects; I am sorry."
Despite this person's expertise, I refuse to believe that there is no solution. But until there is one, I will have to render my Photo -Jpeg quicktimes using Nuke, which will likely result in my finally giving up on After Effects and switching over once and for all. I hate to throw away years of experience and render every AE plug-in you can name useless but if I can't do my job because Adobe can't do theirs then that leaves few options.

Re-opening a Cinema 4-D Lite file
I've recently begun doing tutorials for Cinema 4-D Lite through After Effects. As I was about half way through the first chapter, needed a break, save everything and quit both programs to continue later. 2
days later I return and ran into some trouble re-opening the Cinema 4-D Lite file. I had to start a new layer through AE to open the program, and once it was opened, I could access the older file I was working on.
However, the real trouble began when I saved the new material I was doing in Cinema 4-D lite. The changes were not reflected in the After Effects side.
Has anyone run into this problem before, or have I stumbled somewhere?

Squashed width output
I am using the preset D1/DV PAL Widescreen (1.46) and When I place content such as images for use the result is squashed widthways in the output display and probably the video output. I can manage with this by just ignoring it and ensuring that I lock aspect ratio on when scaling so if I need to rescale it back to normal in Premiere this content won't be stretched out of proportion but it's still a pain and I don't know why it's happening.
Any advice?
I attach an example. As you can see it is out of proportion. Btw it's supposed to be black and white and simple. It represents a monotonous, literally colourless world. This is not the first project where I've had this issue.

Workflow: Keynote –> AE –> Encore
Hi folks,
I have created some Keynote presentations on historical subjects that include quite a few animations. I want to export the Keynote animations as QuickTime files to After Effects, tweak the animations and voiceover, and then export video files to Encore to produce DVD and BluRay discs.
I have been out of the digital video loop for a while and am not current with codec best practices. I am hoping some saintly personal will suggest some specs based on the following data:
Apple Keynote QuickTime export options:
1) 1024 x 768 (with no further explanation. I assume this is a lossless animation codec?)
2) 720p (with no further explanation. This sounds like a bad idea because I want to save as much resolution as possible and let Adobe Media Encoder do whatever compression is necessary downstream).
3) 1080p (better than 720p, but I suspect I should not compress to this level here, but rather in AME).
4) "Custom" specifically:
a) H.264 (no settings)
b) Apple ProRes 422 (no settings). If I had to guess about these last two, I'd assume that they have all the res I'd need for DVD and BluRay output from AE to Encore, but would there be any advantage to using either?
My goal is to build the production in AE and then export MPEG-2 video files to build a DVD in Encore. This I have done before. I would also like to create a BluRay version because the artwork is great and I would like to show it with decent resolution, but I don't know what codec BluRay likes.
As you have probably guessed, I'm mainly a graphics and animation guy, and my grasp of the video aspects of this project is pretty shaky. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

After Effects: Issue with nested compositions that use time-remapping. VIDEO INCLUDED
I'm making an animation that uses time-remapping almost exclusively. I have an issue that keeps popping up, sometimes in different places on different days, and I don't get it.

I'm using Adobe After Effects CC, the latest version, and I have this issue on both Windows 8.1 and Mac OS X 10.9.4.
How is it that the main composition is playing incorrectly but then I check the composition that's nested and the animation is fine?
Ideas? Solutions?

Rendering Error in After Effects
Hi There, I hope someone can help me. I am extremely new to After Effects and everything I am reading in the online blogs are only confusing the situation more.
I have a project (due tomorrow) that is a 15 second show promo and first I received the error "After Effects Error: Motion tile cannot allocate a buffer larger than 30000 pixels in either dimension (516) (25::56)", after working on that for way too long I finally was able to reduce the motion tile enough that I am not receiving that error any longer... bad news, new error: "After Effects Error: Image buffers of size 28422 x 22960 @ 8bpc (2.4 GB) exceeds internal limits. Decrease the memory requirements for this frame (12804). For more info, see www.adobe.com/go/learn_ae_mem (7::66)." All the tutorials I have watched haven't helped and when I go to the website I just get more confused. Can someone please help me (in "dummy" terms)?

Turn Off Scroll Wheel Zooming
I need to turn off the scroll wheel zooming in After Effects. If I am looking at a Comp window and I scroll with my mouse, the view zooms in or out. I don't want to do this, especially because I have a Magic Mouse and any stray movement suddenly zooms my window. It's a realy problem. Can I turn this "feature" off?

Is it possible to shut down the computer after rendering?
Since it often takes very long to render high quality files, is it possible to have a post-render action of turning off my computer? Such as an auto shut down after or at least quit after effects. I often times leave my computer on overnight to finish the rendering, but I am sure that is not the best thing for the computer. I own a Mac OS X version 10 and am running Leopard. I also own Adobe After Effects CS4. Please Help me. Thanks!
