Hi,
I'm working on a project and made something in Ai in proper layers. When I import this file into AE it'll get stuck and says there is an error.
I do this with After Effects CC 2017.0 and Illustrator CC 2017 on Windows 8 (MSI, Intel core i7).
If someone can help me out, that would be awesome!

I am busy learning After effects via Adobe help and I cannot seem to get to the page you originally had where there was a list of tutorials I could work through to learn After Effects. They were split into modules with each module covering apart of the program. Was so easy to follow. Now it takes me to this page: After Effects tutorials which only shows a few tutorials. If I want to learn anything else I have to search for it and I have no idea what to search for as I don't know what I am learning. Where can I find the page that has them all. There was like 9 modules covering all aspects of adobe after effects I was working from and I cannot seem to find that page anywhere.

I'm having a hard time dealing with this new Preview in AE. A lot of times it is not giving me a real-time playback.
It is nice to have the preview continuously playing while making some changes on the comp, but sometimes I would like to have a real-time preview, like the old RAM preview.
Is it possible to generate a real-time RAM preview? I don't mind waiting for AE to render before playing back the animation.
I have tried the Numpad 0 and also spacebar. I've tried to purge all, restart machine, etc...

It seems my copy of After Effects crashes whenever i try either to export, save or load c4d files and Cineware.
Any clue?
i'm running OS X el Capitan 10.11.6
Just as the title says, position, scale, etc. do not show up in the Effect controls panel when I select a layer. It works for my other projects. This makes zero sense that it's somehow turned 'off'. I use the 2015 version of after effects.
I know that AE CC 2014 could use watch folders so that you could create a render farm. However, I joined CC with AE CC 2015 which does not support watch folders with the render engine.
Does anyone know if the newly released AE 2017 supports render farms using the watch folder?
Alternatively, is there a download link somewhere for AE CC 2014? My Create Cloud app lists all of the 2015 apps I have as well as the 2017 apps, but doesn't offer the 2014 versions.

Why are my (after effects CC 2017) aep files just a blank document and doesn't have the AE logo on them anymore? Why can't I click on the file to open anymore? I would have to open the app in CC then open the file that way only.

I am not sure what is going on with my after effect but my color panel looks nothing like it suppose to how do I change it?!! 
how do i get back the stable version of AE 2015 - this is absolutely woefull from you Adobe - it seems the internet is exploding with how awful your update is

Hi~ Since I'm upgrade Windows 8 to 10, my adobe after effect CS6 not responding and keep give me error message, I've read FAQ, it said CS6 is compatible with windows 10 but then it not working at all. I wonder is there any patch or update after effect CS6 for windows 10? Thanks
OK Adobe, where'd you go and hide the shape layer path option in cc2015? I want to turn a pentagon into a triangle and can't because you've moved the paths points control! Little help?
Hi, If you are exporting video from After Effects to bring into Premiere which will eventually go on the web, is it best to compress the After Effects files first or make them higher quality and compress when you export from Premiere? Thanks
when exporting from AE (video 720p) to Media Encoder the match source option scales down to 180p. When i uncheck the match source option and imput 720p the video is very bad quality.

Notice the track points outside the masked in portions, and the stuck banner. I've used the process of masking in steady portions of the frame in a precomposed composition hundreds of times, and when I turned on after effects today, it doesn't seem to be working at all. Am I missing something new?
This seems like an incredibly basic thing: but how do I type in the duration of a layer in After Effects cc!? (Just as you would type in the duration of a clip in premiere) the only way I can do this is to manually drag the endpoints. This is driving me crazy. Please help!!

Using Dynamic link to a 3D Camera track a HD sequence, I attach some text and switch on Ray Traced 3D to get a bevel effect. All works well in the software.
But when I render out from within Premiere and from within Media encoder, the text comes out with no bevel as if the Ray Traced 3D is turned off.
Anyone else getting this?
Any workarounds?
I'm having an issue green screening where I get a glitch in the final product. I've attached the screenshot to this post. I thought if I changed the method from 'Soft Color' to 'Source' then it would be fine, but I am having the same problem.
Are there any settings I can change to eliminate this What am I doing wrong that is making the green screen bleed through the final result?
Been using AE since before CC. When I updated to CC 2017, I regularly get stuck in the middle of RAM preview. It continues to playback and show the frame rate- but if I press ESC it keeps playing and it won't let me stop it. This is a simple comp. 4k with 2x PNG sequence layers with Alpha. It plays back at 10x FPS when loading a ram preview but it won't stop when I press escape and have to force quit every time. This is obviously incredibly annoying because if I make an undesired change and save it before a ram preview, it crashes and I can't undo the change. What's the work around? Make it impossible for legit motion work...! Help please.
