My computer audio is really distorted sounding (like AM radio) after I open AE. I get a click sound and then it switches to the ****** sound quality. I think this has happened with a couple other CC apps after the update.

Issues with RAM preview AE 2017
I have issues with RAM preview.
When I hit space bar (or play button in preview window) the (audio) preview is very slow.
Also it won't stop the preview. The 'beachball' keeps rolling
I've seen some discussions about similar problems on the forum, but not with a satisfying answer.
Any suggestions?
System:
iMac Ratina 5K, 27 inch, late 2015)
Processor 4GHZ intelcore i7
Memory 32 GB 1867 MHz
Fusion Dive 3,12 TB (1,6 TB available)
OS:
Sierra (10.12.1)
AE:
2017 (version 14.0.0.217)
Enabled disk cache: 300 GB

after effects cc2017 frames dropping
hi,
since the new version of ae, I experience random frames dropping (or displaying as black) in the preview window.
not only when playing, but also on frame by frame when going through the timeline (to check which frames are missing)
when rendering the final result via media encoder*, everything seems fine though...
so at first I thought something was wrong with my footage, but in the end it seemed just a bug in ae.
not a huge problem, but enjoying still.
* besides the media encoder having another problem: it autmatically renders on a 4th of the actual resolution.
even if your source is fullHD...and you click match source...
unless: you change your playback mode from automatic to 'Full'...workaround found here on the forum.
also very annoying.
hope these 2 bugs will be fixed real soon.

AE 2017 on Mac Stabilize Motion Crash
Just updated to CC 2017, and I have been having a problem where every time I use Stabilize Motion, it plays on loop with no ability to stop. After a couple loops the rainbow wheel of death shows up, and right clicking the AE logo reads "Application Not Responding". Anyone else having this problem?

After Effects 2017 CC - Preview Lagging - MacSierra
Hello, I have a fairly new iMac 5k, 32GB, 4.0GB Graphics Card, i7 Core
I recently updated to MacSierra and now it seems both my 2015 CC and 2017 CC are lagging in preview.
I open up a new brand new project, brand new comp with completely nothing in the comp, I hit preview and the red line lags when it moves down the timeline.
It shouldn't be this way. It should have a smooth ride down the timeline. What's going on?

AE 14.0 unresponsive on preview stop
Hi everyone. Using late 2015 MBP15" with quad-core i7 and 16GB RAM.
One of the comps in a project I noticed can get unresponsive when previewing (by hitting the spacebar) and pausing. The actual preview plays along with the audio. If I hit the spacebar again or hit esc, it will still continue caching and playing further down the comp and then loop it out forever. It never pauses really and makes AE unresponsive. I'm not using any 3rd party effects in the comp. I'm not using anything heavy on the CPU either. Any other comp or pre-comp works just fine.
I'm happy to give more information on this. Just let me know what is needed to troubleshoot.
If you guys have noticed any ismilar behaviour, what's your remedy?

Nichts läuft mehr nach update
Nach dem heutigen Update auf 2017 bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:
After Effects Warnung: Unknown Exception.
Vorher lief alles ohne Probleme. Photoshop und InDesign und Illustrator habe ich mit Umbennen der LavasoftTcpService64.dll in oldLavasoftTcpService64.dll wieder zum Laufen gebracht.

ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS(2017) not opening
I have recently decide to update my adobe after effects program (2015.3) to (2017) i still have (2015.3) as of going into advanced options and un-checking remove old cc's before updating before i launched (2017) for the first time i moved my plugins into it i had no error (it was just the magic bullet suite) it will finish scanning plugins then the tittle screen disappeared the icon on the system tab bar (im using windows ten home) and nothing pops up that's it its gone i kept restarting it it repeatedly did the same thing when i checked task manager it did the same thing it showed up on the active then went down the the background programs for couple seconds then disappeared (side note 2015.3 is doing the same thing) i have tried restarting my pc and i really want it to work please help

Can't stop previews
Hi everyone. I know this was an issue a while ago ... but just lately I'm having the same issue of not being able to top my previews.
The only way I can is to click on another comp tab then it stops.... or by hitting the spacebar a number of times!!! Sometimes like 10 times!
This is incredibly annoying and slows productivity unbelievably, as its very hard to change keyframes/edit etc while it's previewing.
It happens on all my recent projects... even on a simple one layered comp... this issue occurs.

Huge new workflow booster in AE - and it's free!
I know some folks poo-poo Video Copilot for producing easy-to-use plugins that newbies can just slap on stuff and look good, but this new tool is in a different league entirely. This is one, massive, workflow changer in After Effects. Nothing flashy, but SO MANY clicks are going to be saved.
Not only does this new, free, tool give you some of the power of C4D's commander - in that it lets you quickly pull up and apply any effect or preset, but it's got some awesome built-in features for "changing" the defaults for effects you apply in AE and adds some great stills-grabbing functionality to After Effects as well. This is going to save me so much time. Seriously. Just watch the video.
Once you get past the jokes and goofiness in the beginning, it is a much more powerful tool than it first appears. The overrides, black listing, shortcuts, and favorites combined with Animation Presets you build in AE is huge. HUGE!

I've been asking for something like this in AE ever since I found the commander in C4D and it's even better than I imagined.
(There are some bugs in non-English installs of AE and with some multi-monitor setups. They're supposed to getting fixed for an imminent update.)

Problems to start AE 2017 under mac os 10.10.5 [locked - duplicate thread]

I did an update today from CC2015 to CC2017. (mac os 10.10.5)
Every time the same error message is coming:
After Effects can´t continue. Error while accessing the preference files inside "/Users/mdesi9n/Libary/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/14.0". please verify the file permissions and try again.
Everybody has a solution for this problem?
And by the way... I have already try to open the program under another user.
there AE is working. I don´t know why?!?
And the chat had broken up, when I changed the user an my MAC

RAM preview loop not stopping play
So far AE CC2017 seems to work great... except when I run a RAM preview of a little work area, it doesn't stop. I hit the space bar, press anywhere on the interface, and it keeps going, then after a few minutes it stops on it's own. I'm running
MAC OS 10.12.1 (Sierra)
with 26 out of 32 GB RAM reserved for AE.
This is AE 14.0.0.207
when I go to force quit, it does show AE as "not responding" as it's stuck playing the preview.
Anyone else have this problem?

Rotoscope glitches for no apparent reason
Imagine that i'm rotoscoping an airplane in a video of a plane flying through the sky. And i'm overlaying this onto a background video of the solar system.
Even though I have carefully checked every single frame and made sure that the Alpha Boundary is perfectly around the plane, when I export, the .avi sometimes shows quick flashing of frames with a large portion of the blue sky being overlayed too, even though i've checked every single frame and the sky is rotoscoped out.
Has anyone had this problem before? Is it perhaps an encoder problem?

After Effects CC2017 Is it possible to go back to 2016 ?
I do this every time I update when I should not have updated. And this time i regret it big time!
And I am in a bit hurry right now, I decided to update my mac and after effects
To Mac Os Sierra and from CC2016 to CC2017.
First thing I notice is that there is so much ram issues.
Second thing I notice is that my plugins does not work as they would in CC2016.
What I mean with that ?
First of all I have 12GB of ram which I am aware of is quite low for some scenes etc.
Ive watched out there is 2GB ram for every core.
Now In CC2016 working with Big Scenes worked fine.
In CC2017 I am working in a very small scene, and I am getting quite a bit of ram Issues this I now Could be a lot of problems with the plugins
as I am pretty plugin based, and I would rather drown my self if I have to be stuck with Cineware instead of Element 3D.
Cause Iknow Cineware works better in CC2017 instead of the plugin Element 3D, but Element 3D is not optimised it seems like to CC2017.
So is there a way to fix this ?
or is there a way to downgrade to CC2016 ?

Mon C4D Lite ne synchronise pas ma camera après un suivi camera dans after effect!!!
J'ai tenté plusieurs méthode mais quand j'arrive dans le C4D avec mon document exporté il n'y a rien qui ce passe quand j'appuie sur play!
Comment résoudre ce problème?
