Illustrator's files to huge in composition

Hello,

I'm here because in my project I imported .ai files and I animated them.

Although, the ae became very slow and it wasn't possible to continue ...

Then, I tried to reduce the size of the .ai (by un-tick the pdf compatibility, the file goes from 60mb to less than 1mb).

 

The reduced files are working fine on Illustrator but when I replaced them with the heavier one, After effect doesn't show me anything.

 

Then how to reduce the illustrator files than can be used in After effect ?

3D camera tracker problem

I used 3D camera tracker but I don't know why in a part of the video the points suddenly moves. Please check the link below, I provided a screen record.

After Effects CC 2017 RAM preview problem

Hey,

i use After Effects two years. Now I had buy new hardware.

 

System:

i7 6700k

GTX 1070

16 RAM

Win 10 Pro

 

I thought it works good, but i can't use the ram preview correctly.

 

If I would play a clip (30s long) without a effect, so the clip rendered to 1 second an played in a loop.

The same clip with a effect for example twitch, it rendered the same time of 1 second and played also in a loop.

AE can use 14GB of RAM and there is maybe 1 or 2 GB in use.

I swichted the view render from CPU to GPU and reversed. I see no different.

 

Where is the problem (?), my cache had I clean up. By the way premiere work very goog and without problems.

Not sure how to produce a desired effect

Hello!

 

Below is a 'still' of an animation I want to produce in after effects.  Each player will be moving onto screen, and I want to have this smokey, whispy, effect on them the entire time.  I know sandstorm is a good kit for this kind of work, but I don't think it works on videos.  Any ideas?

3D tracking requirements???

I have a newly built windows 10 PC with an i7 6700k and a GTX 1080 and when I attempt to 3D track a 25 second video it crashes after effects.  I felt like my machine would easily handle this job.  It usually show's the working in background message then crashes on "solving camera"  anyone have any ideas what the issue may be?

Updated After Effects today now I get this error and it will not open!

My After Effects keeps crashing.

I've already tried like 3 different After Effects versions and all of them keep crashing on me.

I use a Window 10 64bit and since I've installed it I keep having the same problem with After Effects.

Error : <[always a different 4digit number]> <ae.blitpipe> <2> Making New Context.

I'd really like to know if there's any way I could fix this problem because I have a few projects I want to start working on.

Hey guys. I have an odd 'bug' happening.

I've looked this up but it is all for the overflow ratio of 17:18 - which heeds no help at all. I'm able to make the entire video and play it back using RAM Preview, but when and ONLY when I go to export and render it, it gets caught at a specific frame and pops this error message up. Anyone who knows how to fix this and is willing to share their knowledge on the subject is extremely appreciated here.

 

I wish there was a better way to show you than a long video, but I can't seem to get AE to render. Skip around after the renderring starts to see when or how this error pops up.

Synching settings between computers

I recently had to switch computers/workstations at work. I was working off an older tower, and have switched to a new trash can mac. I made sure to sync my settings from AE to the cloud so that I could use my personalized work layout that I have saved. Now, when I sign into the cloud on the new computer, and open up AE, my settings are not synced. Any suggestions? Thank you.

AE Launch Error: Unexpected failure during application startup

I'm having trouble launching AE. I get a dialogue box that says "After Effects warning: Unknown Exception." This pops up twice with the launch screen and then a box that says "After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during application startup" appears (pictures below).

 

I just updated to AE CC 14.1 after I first got the error this morning.

• After Effects CC 14.1

• Windows 10 Home

• Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU 3.20Ghz

• 8GB RAM

• NVIDIA GeForce GT 720

 

Recent issues I've had with Photoshop and Illustrator I've been able to correct by renaming app data files, but I'm not sure which to look for here. Any suggestions?

Help! after effects error: MIR: OpenGL error: Could not allocate texFBO (512) ( 25 :: 241 )

I seem to be having trouble with my Trapcode Mir plugin. I had been working on a Mir project a couple weeks ago, took some time off, and now anytime I move the cursor, I get this error:

 

after effects error: MIR: OpenGL error: Could not allocate texFBO (512) ( 25 :: 241 ).

 

The Mir form also visually looks different. The 'mountains' I had created now look like some empty geometric vector shapes.

I tried reinstalling the mir plugin, though I'm not sure how to uninstall it first. I'm relatively new to AE, so it's very possible I'm missing something obvious. Also, I'm still using CS6, Version 11.0.0.378 and I'm working in Windows 7 64bit with 32Gb of ram, 3.5Ghz X4, and an Nvidia Quadro K2200 graphics card that was having problems until I reseated it a few days ago.

 

I'm not sure what else to try. I've attached a picture of the error message.

How do I replace white on a pin board with images?

Hello,

 

I have a few clips of panning across a pin board with white photo paper that I wanted to be able to replace with images.  I did this because I thought I would be able to replace the white paper with an images I wanted to and switch the images if I changed my mind.  I have attached a picture that will give an idea of  what I have done.  I pan through  this board focusing on different parts.  My  question is how do I get the images to only appear in the white paper, and how can I keep the shadows and curves of the paper showing as part of the new image.  Is there a way to do that?  Also I have to track the shots so the images stay in place as I move around the board, do I use the corner pin tool?  I am pretty new to After Effects so I would love to learn how to do this the right way.  Any help will be appreciated.

Cheap(ish) download

Don't groan - I'm sure this has been done to death! I can't really afford AeCC so I'm looking for an old copy of CS6. There is a version on, yes, ebay, where you download from helpxadobe, so presumably it's a genuine version, but the serial number is provided by the seller. Is this legal and will the version work forever?  I know I can't upgrade it.

.AEC files from Cinema 4D will not import into After Effects CC 2015. I have the correct exchange files and it used to work just fine, It imports it but when imported it doesnt show my file in the library and it doesnt give me any error message. What do i do?

 

AE version is CC 2015, Im trying to import a 10 second 30 FPS 300 Frames PNG Sequence with a camera from cinema 4d.

Hi there! Can someone please explain how this effect was achieved? I can normally key out a sky as long as nothing else in the picture is the same color as the sky, but this was obviously shot at night and everything has black in it, yet they only took out the sky and replaced it with the planets ect. How is this possible? can it be done through after effects?Screen Shot 2017-01-01 at 2.15.11 PM.png

"Flying" PiPs are "choppy"

Dear Forum,

I have a 40 second long scene (1820x1080) in Aftereffects with flying PiPs (40% shrink). The PiPs fly through the scene in 4 s - 8 s time and they are very choppy (jerky, not smooth). When I make longer PIPs and make them fly for 15 s - 20 s, then, of course, they are smoother. Is there another way (to keep them short - so flying fast) and still make them smooth? Generating extra frames as in "frame blending" in PrPro export?

Adobe After Effects CC (2017) freezes at Initializing Media Core

Hello,

 

my problem is that I cant start AE, everytime I try it freezes at Initializing Media Core.

 

My Operating system is Windows 10.

 

I tried to reinstall my drivers.

I updated my NVIDEA drivers.

And I added the files to my firewall settings.

 

My system:

CPU: Intel i7-4790K

Ram: 16 GB

GPU: NVIDIA GTX 970
