I have a few 3840x2160 images and I want to make a 4k video but I need it to be pixel detailed. I mean is for quality testing in Tv's so the video(in the TV) is examined with a microscope to check the pixels going on and off. All my images are pixel detailed but the final product somehow gets data loss and end with a blurry thing (at pixel lvls).
Any idea?

I know basic 3D modeling and am trying to create a basic sphere with a white material on it in Cinema 4D, then bring it into After Effects where I have two particle systems on top of a monoscopic 360 video. The particle systems are following a ring shape and going opposite directions. I'd like to make the particles 3D by choosing a Textured Particle Type, then using the 3D C4D layer as the Texture Layer...is this possible?
As soon as I save the C4D file and go back to AE, the 3D C4D sphere shows up with the grid and nothing in my AE comp will play I'm using Adobe CC 2017 and have a brand new laptop with an Intel i7, Nvidia 930MX, 16GB of ram, and a 1TB hard drive. I also build VR experiences with Unity and my computer runs just fine with Unity and Blender running at the same time. I've been trying to problem solve this for a few weeks and would really appreciate some help from all the AE/C4D ninjas out there!

Hi I'm using AE CC 2017 and have an issue with time remapping when I render only. I'm using toggle hold keyframe to switch between two different states of a character. When I RAM preview and in the preview it's fine, but when I render it randomly uses the wrong state. I've tried rendering through media encoder and the render queue in different format but get the same problem. I've checked the frame rates too and they're consistently 25 fps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am currently trying to create somthing in After Effects CC 2017 and am having trouble caching when previewing what i have done so far. The cache works fine until 600 frames in which it stops and starts to play, this means I can't preview my entire composition.
Is it possible to make AE render an image sequence backwards? as in from last frame to first.
The idea being you can set another computer with identical files rendering forwards and they can meet in the middle.

One of the features in AfterEffects I use more than anything, but notice the least out of all of them, was the pinch-zoom and two-finger scroll. I'm not sure if you can use these features on PC but if you've got a trackpad on your Mac, you've probably become just as dependent on this feature as I have. You can not only scroll and zoom on your preview, but you can scroll and zoom on your timeline as well, which is just the stuff dreams are made of.
But for some reason in AfterEffects, this amazing, intuitive feature has been removed/altered in the last 2 updates! I just installed the latest one this morning and the feature remains unfixed. I mean, you can still zoom on the preview but it just zooms in and out of 0,0 rather than centrally and certainly not where you put the cursor like before. And yes, the scroll works in the timeline, but the zooming isn't!
This feature isn't replaceable before you tell me to just use '+/-' instead. This is sacred.
My perfect resolve to this question is for someone to tell me there's a checkbox I need to go tick buried deep in the preferences somewhere.

Hello, I'm trying to add reference media to my gallery in color finesse for color grading. However, when ever I try to "Create new" in the gallery or drag and drop into the Gallery folder, Color Finesse crashes.
Is there another way to add reference media, or to find the folders there on Mac?
I recently got this error while rendering my project:
I have never gotten this in any other project, only this one. I really want to render it since it took a lot of time.
I heard that it could be because of not enough RAM on my PC, but I have 12gb and I think that is more than enough.
I created a project which I would like to share online and give permissions to modify it, how can I do that? Can I do it with differents accounts? I mean, invite another account to collaborate with my project?
I have recently discovered, after upgrading to a new workstation (6core i7, 64gb ram, 3x GTX1080) that Adobe Media Encoder doesn't actually use any of the GPUs for rendering (having selected GPU acceleration (CUDA) as renderer, of course).
I've checked this with GPU-Z software.
It doesn't even use the CPU at full capacity (only about 60-70%)
The same goes for After Effects when rendering RAM preview.
Any clues on the issue?
I'm using WI 10 and the AE shortcut for nudging layers in the timeline (alt + page up/down) seems to be overridden by a windows screen dimming hotkey combination.
Anyone know if it's possible to fix this, to ignore the WI 10 behavior somehow? Google didn't turn up much besides a plugin, and I'm not able to install that currently on my work machine.

Updated OSX and every time I start After Effects i crashes on a OSX 10.12.5 on Mac Pro Early 2009.
Tried to reinstall, tried to remove all preferences under /User Home/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects and emptied trash bin,
did a restart, reinstalled and so on.
No Success:
Updated the NVIDIA Cuda and Graphic card drivers, reversed them to OSX Nvidia graphic card.
No Success:
Does anyone have more smart suggestion for me to try out?

Hi there,
I'm a beginner in After Effects and I have a problem that drives me crazy.
There are about 40 layers in my composition and as soon as I add another one, convert it to a 3D layer and move it further back,
it doesn't work. The layer either stays at its position or just partly moves behind the previous layer (half of it is still visible). 2D layers
work just fine but in the 3D workspace, the order of the layers doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
Just made an update - didn't change a thing
Has anyone experienced similar problems and/or knows how to fix this?

When I import a Premiere Pro project into After Effects my subclips don't have the in/out points I selected for them in PPro. Instead, the subclips have the duration of the entire footage file. This makes them useless in After Effects. I must then manually select in/out points a second time in After Effects, huge waste of time. It would be great if AE could recognize subclip in/out points.
Long story short, I created an animation preset (.ffx) in AE CS6 that includes the effects: Transform, Motion Tile, Offset, and some sliders with expressions.
And I sell this preset online to AE CS6 and CC users. Everything has been fine until recently when Adobe had an update for CC (around April I think) that enabled gpu rendering. My buyers who use CC have told me that when gpu rendering is used, it messes up the "offset" effect (see example below), but it looks fine when gpu rendering is disabled. Has this happened to anyone else? I really dont think it's an issue with my preset because it works just fine otherwise.
