Wiggle Expression
I am trying to create sort of a melting effect, but don't want it to just fade away, so I added a wiggle expression. My problem is is that it wiggles then just goes back to zero (as in the effect completely goes away momentarily.) How can I keep it from going below a certain value?

Render Queue Output To link won't work
Suddenly I can longer click on the Output To:filename link in my Render Queue. It still looks like an active link (blue letters), but when I click on it, nothing happens which means I can't change the name and location of my output file.
I updated my version of CC (Windows 7 Professional) to see if that would fix the problem... but it didn't.

Help with Repeater
I'm just learning after effects and as expected ran into many issues that I ultimately figured out. However, there's one that I am just stuck on and have been trying to figure out for a couple hours now with no luck on a solution. It is on the Repeater; I am following youtube tutorial and after following all the steps it is supposed to create a radial shape with the lines spaced out. Mine keeps turning out to look like an asterik no matter what I do! How can I get it to spread the lines out? I've tried to increase to position and it's in one line, but I need it to be radial. It's frustrating. Please help!

Using png graphics in interlaced video
Hi guys!
I've looking for a advice but I didn't find the answer. Anyone can help me?
I want to use in AE .png file for animation. My project is for television which broadcast in 1920x1080i (interlaced).
Should I export the .png file from PS interlaced or progressive in order to use it in interlaced video - 1080i?
If I export the .png file as progressive, should I interpret it in AE as interlaced or keep it as it is?
Any help or ideas will be appreciated

Keying issue (green screen pixels)
Hi,
I am trying to key in a green screen background in After Effects.
I have a video of three people sitting at a table in front of a green screen. When I key in the background and make adjustments to the Screen Grain, Screen Balance,Clip Black, and Clip White I still get a lot of noise pixelation and green in the shadows and dark spots under the table. We shot in HD but are burning the final product to a standard definition disc. When the video is burned to the disc, the pixelation is really apparent and I don't know what else to do to get rid of it.
If someone could please help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

Hello,
When in After Effeects CC, I tried accessing the backgrounds under the presets folder underneath the Support Files group, to no avail.
Also, I can run the backgrounds with Bridge--if that helps.

Blend Colors Using 1.0 Gamma Bug in AE 2015.3
I've noticed that AE 2015.3 always opens projects with "Blend Colors Using 1.0 Gamma" unchecked, despite the project file being saved with it checked. This also has the side effect of making aerender.exe unusable with these settings. Specifically, I am working with the following settings:
Depth: 32 bits
Working Space: None
Blend Colors Using 1.0 Gamma: Checked
Note that it does stay checked if working in any color space besides "None," but "None" is ideal for my project. Any insight into this apparent bug? This setup was working fine with AE 2015.

Dynamic link not working 2015.3
(Windows 10 64bit - 32gb ram - Nvidia gtx980ti driver update 372.70 - AE cc 2015.3 - 13.8.1.38)
Hi,
just did a clean install (windows and adobe CC) since the new AE and PR were not working on this workstation.
I have 2 problems with After Effects:
1) On startup AE freezes on the splash screen. It works only if I do something, like opening a browser window or clicking on the splash screen, strange but it works.
If I click on the splash screen, a Windows error pops out like it was about to crash, then disappears, AE starts and works normally.
Clearly, I'm not trusting this procedure and I'd like to fix this behaviour since every time I just hope it starts without crashes. Can't be like this on a production machine.
2) I can't render from AME. Clicking "queue to AME" does nothing (if AME it's closed doesn't even launch it).
If I send with export>add to queue or manually importing into AME the comp, when I run the encoding it stucks on "Connecting to dynamic link server..." and nothing happens (I know it takes some time, but I waited for 20 minutes!).
Already tried to run both programs as Administrator and some other solution I found in other posts but with no luck.

After Effects error: plug-in “Element.aex” could not be loaded (126). (48::46)
I just bought Element 3D V2 today and i upgraded from v1.6 (which worked fine). When i create a solid and try to add the Element effect i recieve this error message.
"After Effects error: plug-in “Element.aex” could not be loaded (126). (48::46)"
I did some research and couldn't find anything except one guy on a different forum who was having the same problem. He said the problem was a corrupt openCL.dll file and he fixed it by simply replacing the file.
I believe this could be my problem i just dont know how to identify and replace the file. I have tried reinstalling the plugin etc. with no results.

I updated windows and now I am no longer able to open any AE project that contains Element 3D by Video Copilot. I understand that this isn't an Adobe plugin, and that the issue seems to have resulted from a Windows 10 64 bit update, but the DOZENS of technical issues I've had with After Effects and Premiere are driving me to search for means to abandon Adobe products.
Does anyone know how I can alleviate this issue or what might be causing it?

Element.aex Could not be loaded(126)
The other day I was trying to install Element 3D v2.2. I ran the installer it finished successfully and when I went into AE and dropped the plugin on a solid just to test it I got his error.
I have tried:
Reintsalling Element
Updating my Graphcis Drivers
Windows 10 Pro
Intel i7
2x Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
16gb Ram
Any idea on how to fix this?

AfterEffects Tastaturbefehle in CC funktionieren nicht
In CC 2015.3 funktionieren einige Tastaturbefehle nicht mehr, vor allem die zum trimmen und positionieren von Ebenen.
Also ö, ä, Strg+ö, Strg+ä.
Die deutsche Hilfe von Adobe ist wenig hilfreich, weil dort steht, die Kürzel wären noch genau diese.
Ich hab nun in Adobe After Effects 13.8 Win de_DE Tastaturbefehle.txt gefunden, dass Alt+[ und Alt+] nun dort eingetragen sind. Was aber nur mit UK-Tastatur-Setup funktioniert, nicht mit DE.
Der Versuch, die Kürzel wieder umzustellen, blieb fruchtlos. Egal ob ich Ctrl+ö, Ctrl+Umlaut_o oder Ctrl+Ux00F6 eingebe.
Ich versuch seit zwei Stunden, nen Shortcut zu aktivieren. Wer hat sich dieses furchtbare furchtbare System ausgedacht?

PLEASE HELP, VERY FRUSTRATING!
Hi, I'm very new to motion graphics so any patience you can offer is greatly appreciated... But I did this composite video where I have a 3d object in a video in cinema 4d Lite. CC2015...... I know ( i guess?) typically you're supposed to render back to After Effects, but is there a way to just render my C4d video to a quicktime movie? I tried rendering but in my render settings, (and this is the very very frustrating part) there is literally no window to enter a save location... On the left, There is "output, save, multipass, etc..." I select save, and in all the tutorials they have a window to select location and type of file, but in mine it just has under "Regular Image" : depth, image color profile, alpha channel, 8 bit dithering, include sound, and then another tap for "Multi pass Image..." There is NO window to select a save location! Does anyone know what Im doing wrong? I just wanna be able to get this short clip off my computer...Thanks!

Possible to replace video in project with another?
Is it possible to replace a video (which is seen thru a mask) with another video, without having to start over by importing the video and adding the mask? Like in Illustrator when you replace an image.
To put it simply; just replacing the video without changing anything else.

Adobe After Effects Position (0,0) Troubles
I'm trying to perform a simple shape repeater animation, but when applying position 0,0 to center the object in the middle of the frame, it moves to the very top lefthand corner. How do you set so the program recognizes the center of the frame as 0,0?

Unable to allocate 0.002MB of memory
I have an iMac 3.4GH 16GB of ram. I don't understand why I should suddenly be getting this message. I am using Mavericks 10.9. I use after effects CC the latest version.

AE error: "Plugin could not be loaded"
Hi there everybody,
I'm having an issue when trying to run Video Copilot's Element 3D v2 plugin. I'm currently engaged with their tech support team to try and resolve the issue but, at their suggestion, I'm throwing it up here as well in case anyone else has come across the same issue.
Issue:
Element installer appears to run fine. When applying the effect to a layer I get the following error - "After Effects error: plug-in "Element.aex" could not be loaded (126). (48::46)"
Specs:
AMD FX-8370 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
32 Gig RAM
Windows 7 Pro x64
So far I've tried:
Re-installing Element
Re-installing After Effects followed by re-installing Element
Rolling back to v1.6 of Element - this works

AE 13.8.1 BUG native QT png support
So I'm trying to use a Juice template which has a bunch of quicktime PNG movies layered together for light flares. In 13.8 it looked right. and in 13.8.1, the alphas are all jaggy, white things are now yellow, and I do not see any option to go back to Quicktime-dependent codecs.
Guys, I am so fed up with every new release being less usable than the last. How about ramping up your beta testing instead of letting people in production deadlines run into all of it?
